What I believe

Each of us desires to live full, inspired and connected lives yet we often struggle. Fear, confusion, and alienation all serve to inhibit our ability to live the life we desire. These challenges can have their roots in our family and upbringing, painful experiences, or myriad other circumstances. Irrespective of the source of our struggles, it has been my experience that life’s challenges are important opportunities for healing and growth. Our hopelessness, anxiety, and heartbreak are signals that it is time to look within and explore. Therapy offers a dedicated space for this exploration. Therapy rests on the well-established knowledge that every human being is capable of healing and growth, the development of a clear and inspiring vision for their lives, and healthy, loving relationships. The path there requires patience and effort, but it is one of the most profound and meaningful journeys a person can take. Committing to this work can lead to a profound revolution in one’s relationships, career, sense of self, and a vision for one’s life. I believe that if a person sets their heart and mind to it, they can transform their experience in this life.

How will therapy work?

My life’s passion and calling is helping people revolutionize their lives. I start my work from a place of genuine care and curiosity: Who are you?  Who do you want to be? What kind of life are you yearning for? What is in the way? Your dreams and aspirations are the foundation of our work together. I work in an engaging, collaborative, and heart-centered way, and I do not shy away from speaking honestly and directly. If you want to make critical change in your life, heal a broken heart, and live with a revitalized sense of purpose please reach out to me. It would be a honor to meet you and support you.

Who am I?

My work as a psychotherapist is a reflection of my values, sense of purpose, and life experience. I received my formal education in clinical psychology at CIIS in San Francisco, but the bulk of my education came by way of exploring my own spirit. I have spent the better part of the last two decades exploring the Vipassana and Dzogchen meditative traditions, working with healing plants and entheogens, and years in my own psychotherapy. These experiences have had a profound impact on my sense of self, sense of connection to my fellow man and woman, and a sense of responsibility. As a husband, father, brother and friend I feel a desire to help individuals make the most of their lives and their relationships. That is why I do this work.
